Top of the Pops: The Story of 1976 is a music documentary which marked the start of BBC Four beginning to broadcast every Top of the Pops show from 1976. I edited this on Avid and It tells how bad the pop landscape was and how the music industry was dominated by the DJ's a variety feel, this made the time right for punk to burst onto the scene.

Arjun & Alison feature Film

Bad Blood is an independent HD feature film which was shot completely on Cannon 5D. Its a film about racial tensions and a murder which exacerbates it. I edited the film on Avid and used there AMA workflow, I also designed and oversaw the tapeless workflow route from off to online. My flight cased edit suite was used to do the job based in Birmingham and it was seamless.

Michel Roux's Service

I Edited two programes ( program 1 &  6) of this 8 x 1 hour BBC Two series starring Michel Roux. In this new series, Michel is on a personal mission to train eight young people, none of whom have previously considered this as a career, to become front-of-house superstars. But this isn't just about transforming young people into great waiters, good service involves discipline, care for others and self confidence.

 I cut on Avid and worked out of Ricochet in Brighton for 3 months. Having edited the pilot for Millionmedia it was great to see the project be commissioned and then also be involved with it  being made.

Gripping tales from the rock’n’roll front line told by a outrageously starrycast. Exploring what makes a great rock’n’roll band tick. I edited the third programme in this  5 part music documentary series  'The Drummer'. Edited on Avid and incorporating cartoon style GFX this series will culminate in a Live Studio show finale.

Theo's Adventure Capitalists

Dragon's Den star Theo Paphitis follows the fortunes of brave and bold British companies trying to expand in three of the world's most dynamic emerging markets - India, Brazil and Vietnam. While Britain is still stuck in a recession, these economies are booming.  I edited the first show in this 3 part series setting the style, pace and tone. Shot tapeless and edited on Avid.

Restoration Man

If you're wondering what I've been up to for the past nine months, I'm sure you've been loosing sleep over it, then I've just completed a mammoth nine-month edit for Tiger Aspect and Channel 4.

‘Restoration Man’ is a nine-part factual entertainment show, which follows unique property restorations and the peoples’ journeys which go hand in hand with restoring an old building.

As well as editing the entire series, working with Director Lionel Mill we set the grammar, style and tone of the show.  Shot on HDCAM and edited on Avid we integrated 2&3D GFX into the programme as well as 2D animations, which were all supplied by Molinare.

Glastonbury 2009

Edited on Avid and utilising Avid interplay I was responsible for editing the films about the artists and festival. It was my first time at Glastonbury and it was a great experience, I got to work with some brilliant directors and producers, it was especially good to edit alongside Perry Bellisario from Ace Post Production. Using Avid Interplay as I did at Electric Proms we were able to edit just about live thus turn around times were slashed !

BURBURRY Prorsum Spring/Summer 2010

This was a very high profile edit in terms of Burburry Prorsum spring/summer 2010 fashion events to showcase their collections. I turned around a 4 min story of the day film in just 4 hours using a combination of Sony XDcam an Red footage. All shot over 3 venues the footage was coming in to the edit thick and fast ! Editing natively with FCP the RED camera footage shot at a higher frame rate to give  a great slow mo effect, the result was a dynamic edit uploaded to the Burbury website that very same night. Download Music Festival 2009

The festival was not broadcast on TV this year, so I was Editing music highlights and films surrounding the Metal Festival for broadcast on the internet. Everything was tapeless: shot on Sony EX cameras and this year cut on FCP and Xsan.  We where able to pump out packages very quickly and in the next few seconds see them live on the download website. It was a very Rock 'n' Roll weekend and pretty intensive, but thats half the fun.

WILSON DIXON PROMO

I cut  a promo for the BBC website on Avid. Working with Director Andy Dunn who had  just finished the Seasick Steve documentary for BBC Four. I used multi camera editing then inserted the cutaways after.

QUEENS OF BRITISH POP

Editor for the second part of this 2x60mins documentary. BBC One's Queens of British Pop is a two part documentary series covering some of the most dynamic figures in British female pop history. I edited this on Avid and crafted a rocking whistle stop look at the careers of women like Annie Lennox and Amy Winehouse.

FANTASTIC CHRISTMAS TX DATE & SLOT

The Real Italian Job James Martin's Mille Miglia is being TX'd on Sunday 28th December 9pm in a very good slot just after Top Gear. It is a BBC 2  60 min Factual Documentary shot HDCAM/SD & delivered in HD. James Martin, celebrity chef, doing a vintage car rally in Italy. I saw it through from offline all the way to delivery. Offlined in Adrenaline and Onlined and graded on Adrenaline HD. 

INSIDE THE SAUDI KINGDOM TX

Inside The Saudi Kingdom was transmitted on BBC TWO Saturday 8th November 2008 and received 1.7 million viewers and a raft of great reviews from the press.

I edited this one off 60min observational documentary for BBC called 'Inside The Saudi Kingdom'.  I saw the whole project through  from the recce to delivery. I edited on FCP, and all the the sound was recorded on hard disk and synced up in post, half in Arabic so there was lots of transcriptions and subtitling.

PROMAX AWARD WINNER

I edited a music video which has just won a Promax Award. The  band Go Team who are signed to EMI records ran a competition to make a music video for there track 'Keys to the City'. Mick Arnold (Director) had the idea of what the Batman from the 70's now retired and old, got up to day to day. I edited this on FCP and cut remotely via FTP me in Durham and Mick in London.   If winning a Promax award was not enough we now get to make a music video for an EMI artist!

BBC ELECTRIC PROMS 2008

I have just edited the BBC Electric Proms 2008 from Camden Roundhouse. Working with Perry Bellisario from Ace Post Production, who cuts 'Later with Jools', we cut on Avid DS Nitris and used a cutting edge combination of EVS and Interplay to turn the nightly shows around for a very tight deadline. Performances from Oasis and Burt Bacharach were the highlights of the show.

ITUNES MUSIC FESTIVAL

Just completed the edit for ITV’s iTunes Music Festival. This was a month long multi camera shoot which I edited on Avid’s Adrenaline System.  Full of performances from the likes of Paul Weller and N.E.R.D and montage packages galore. It was quick turnaround,  quickfire editing.
